Abstract:

The three main objectives of this research project are: I. Determine the main volatile organic compounds that characterize the fragrance profile of fragrant and non fragrant cut rose cultivars. II. Describe the fragrance profile of cut roses during vase life and the effect of external and internal ethylene on the fragrance profile and vase life of cut roses. III. Study the effects of anti-ethylene treatments on the fragrance profile and vase life of fragrant and non-fragrant cut rose flowers.
